The award was presented during the 2014 FPA Welcome Dinner & Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 held in conjunction with the 2014 FPA Annual Meeting (March 4-6, 2014) at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Scottsdale AZ.

The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) judged eighty-one package entries featuring innovative submissions that integrate consumer trends and needs with technical advancements in materials, graphics, structure, and sustainability to produce outstanding flexible packaging solutions. Twenty-two packages were recognized with 26 Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards within one or more categories including Packaging Excellence, Printing Achievement, Technical Innovation and Environmental & Sustainability Achievement.
